A brand new wine, inspired by “Wiley” our kitten and latest addition to our farm. A true carbonic carignan, sealed in tank for 2.5 weeks, then pressed back to stainless to finish fermenting and aged 4 months. Intense fresh berry aromatics leap out of the glass, complex but fun flavors, that belie the youthfulness, and gentle tannins on the finish.     11.8 % alc.

NEW!

This special 125 case lot (our largest release ever)) from the famed 135 year old Bechthold Vineyard in Lodi, is believed to be the oldest surviving Cinsault Vineyard in the world. This dry farmed, organic vineyard has very low yield, and produces a very complex expression of this variety, normally best as a blending grape.

The 2017 is the lightest, prettiest release ever, picked earlier, weighing in at 11.8% alc - a perfect candidate for the hot "crushable" red emerging category - wines that you drink with a slight chill, and go down wayyyyy to easy.

Always 100% whole cluster, foot tread, fermented with native yeast in small ½ ton bins. Gently pressed to neutral barrel to age on heavy lees for 8 months, then bottled.  A thought provoking wine Eric Asimov of the NY Times called “pure, deep, ... super delicious.”

This will is available to the general public for a very brief time, then will be Flock Club only.

A unique wine from an obscure grey skinned grape, originally from the Jura.  The grapes are the only planting in CA, from a 40 year old vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Fermented with native yeast on the skins for five days to extract color, flavor and texture, then aged in neutral barrels for 8 months, and bottled unfined and unfiltered.  Our previous release (2015 vintage) was whole-cluster, while the 2017, our 5th consecutive vintage from this vineyard, is destemmed, allowing a fresh and vibrant expression.

With everyone jumping on the bandwagon, it may seem that a rosé is a rosé is a rosé. We craft a true expression of rosé, rather than a financial afterthought. Picked early expressly for rosé at 20 Brix to ensure its lively nature, this Rosé offers a vibrant expression of Carignan.

This 3 barrel, 75 case lot of rosé comes from a 45 year old, head trained, dry farmed, organically certified vineyard in Hopland, Mendocino.  We are very excited to be able to lease half of this vineyard, working closely with the 2nd generation grower. Fermented with native yeast, aged in 50% stainless steel, 50% neutral barrel. A fresh, vibrant wine that can be enjoyed all year long.

Please note (Feb 28th) the rose is still showing a bit of bottleshock, which should pass in a few weeks. For best enjoyment, we recommend giving it until Mid March (the 'official' release date) to open.

Inspired by our kitten, Wiley, a carbonic soul. A true carbonic carignan, sealed in tank for 2.5 weeks, then pressed back to stainless to finish fermenting and aged 4 months. Intense fresh berry aromatics leap out of the glass, both complex & fun flavors, that belie its youthfulness. Wiley has grown from a kitten to king of the farm, and like his personality, this vintage is slightly more serious, though still playful.

Last year's 35 case experimental lot was a smash hit, so this year we jumped up to 125 cases.

12.2 % alc. Serve slightly chilled.

This collaboration wine brings together two passion projects: Two Shepherds of Sonoma, and Fields Family Wines of Lodi. Winemakers William and Ryan share a love of Rhone wines, and strive to highlight many of its relatively unknown grapes grown in California. With only an acre of Grenache Blanc in the Russian River Valley and less than 20 acres in Lodi, this wine illustrates the potential of both cool and Mediterranean climate Grenache Blanc in California. Both wines are fermented with native yeast, 50% fermented in stainless steel, 50% in neutral barrel, then aged 7 months in neutral barrel.

Dolce, our affable miniature Sicilian donkey inspired this wine. Last year's experimental 50 case lot disappeared quickly, so we took the plunge and increased production to 225 cases.

Destemmed and left on the skins to start a native yeast fermentation, then after 5 days pressed to finish fermentation and aged in neutral French barrels. The 5 days of skin contact impart a copper hue, reminiscent of Italian Ramato. The taste is uniquely its own, landing somewhere between an orange wine and a rosé.

Fun and fresh, with lingering savory notes. We have been previewing this wine for a month and its been a huge hit again, ready to drink immediately.  A wine as unique as our Dolce. Hee Haw!

Released at last - our first red non Rhone!

Debuting a new label in our farm house series, our goats join the wine family.

From one of the oldest plantings of Pinot Meunier in the Russian River.

This variety is rarely found as a still wine, and often abused when it is. Its a delicate wine that doesn't respond well to heavy oak, thus perfectly suited for our light hand.

Light and silky in texture, drinks well with a slight chill. 12.3% alc.
